Interpretive Data
Assay methodology is real time polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
The PCR primer targets for Coronavirus 2 (SARS COVID-19) are virus nucleocapsid (N) and envelope (E) and RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRP) genes.
The PCR primer targets for Influenza A Virus (Flu A) assay are virus matrix, basic polymerase 2, and acidic protein genes.
The PCR primer targets for Influenza B virus (Flu B) are the virus matrix and nonstructural protein genes.
The PCR primer targets for Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) are the RSV A and RSV B nucleocapsid genes.
Negative: Target(s) are not detected.
Positive: Target(s) are detected
No Result-Repeat Test: Testing was performed twice with no results; consider collecting another specimen from the patient if warranted.
