Collection:
Specimen: Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF) or Blood
Container: Sterile Tube for CSF; Serum Separator or Red Top Tube for Serum.
Volume: CSF - 1 ml; Minimum 0.5 mL; BLOOD - 3 mL; Minimum 2 mL
Storage Instructions:
Send specimen to Lab within 30 minutes or refrigerate.
Turnaround Time (TAT):
1 hour (qualitative only). Titers performed 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM only.
Test Availability:
Monday – Saturday; If Stat, qualitative only 24 hours a day / 7 days a week
