NO Barium contaminated specimens accepted due to test interferences.
Patient should not eat red meat for at least 24 hrs.
Collection:
Specimen: Stool or Stool inoculated directly onto card
Container: Sterile Container or Occult stool card
Storage Instructions:
Stool, Refrigerated: 3 days
Inoculated stool cards: 12 days.
Turnaround Time (TAT):
Results reported on day of processing.
Test Availability:
Specimens are processed Monday – Friday; 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
