Container: Serum Separator (Preffered) or Lavender top (EDTA)
Volume: 5 mL; Minimum 1.0 mL
Pediatric Collection:
Two Gold or Red microtainers filled to 600 uL.
Processing Instructions:
Serum/plasma must be separated from cells within 45 minutes of venipuncture.
Shipping/Handling Instructions:
On-campus collections: Tube to 99 or deliver to University Extension Hospital Room EH318. Send serum/plasma in a plastic transfer tube, Frozen. Testing is performed at Esoterix Endocrinology Laboratory: ES#500234
Off-campus collections:
Centrifuge and aliquot within 2 hours. Specimen to be stored/transported at Frozen temp.
