Container: Lavender Top Tube. Use only plastic Lavender tubes. Glass tubes are unacceptable.
Specimen Volume: 4 mL; Minimum 2 mL
Pediatric Collection:
1.0 ml whole blood in 2 ml Lavender tube
Stability:
If specimen can not be delivered to laboratory within 4 hours of collection, centrifuge specimen and transport plasma on ice. Once plasma is separated from cells:
