Notes:
Collect specimen 12 hours after oral administration or 6 hours after IV administration.
Collection:
Specimen: Blood
Preferred: Lt Green w/ Gel - Li Hep
Acceptable: SST or Red Top
Specimen Volume: 5 mL; Minimum 1.0 mL
Pediatric Collection:
One Lt Green w/ Gel - Li Hep, SST, or Red Top microtainer filled to 500 uL.
Stability:
Separate plasma/serum from gel/cells within 4 hours of collection. Once separated from cells/gel:
Ambient: 8 Hours
Refrigerated (preferred): 2 Days
Frozen: 2 Weeks

Therapeutic: 0.8 - 2.0 ng/mL
Toxic: > 2.4 ng/mL
Interpretive Data:
