Container: SST (Preferred) or Red Top
Specimen Volume: 6 mL; Minimum 4 mL
Pediatric Collection:
Two SST, or Red Top microtainers filled to 600 uL.
Stability:
Specimen may be held overnight at Room Temperature. Refrigerate for storage beyond 12 hours. Serum may be stored for up to 7 days at 2-8C. For longer storage, serum must be frozen at -20 or colder.
Turnaround Time (TAT):
Same day as performed.
