Notes:
All positives are quantitated for titer and pattern by IFA using the HEP-2 cell line.
Collection:
Specimen: Blood
Container: SST (Preferred) or Red Top
Specimen Volume: 7 mL; Minimum 3 mL
Pediatric Collection:
One SST, or Red Top microtainer filled to 600 uL.
Stability:
Specimen may be held overnight at Room Temperature. Refrigerate for storage beyond 12 hours. Store serum samples for up to 3 days at 2-8C. For long term storage, serum must be frozen at -20 or colder.
Turnaround Time (TAT):
2 Days.
