Volume: 1-5 ml (3-5 ml preferred), see Myco F Lytic Bottle instructions.
Unacceptable / Rejected Specimens:
Adult or pediatric blood culture bottles.
Blood collected in any anticoagulant.
Coagulated blood.
Shipping / Handling:
On-campus collections: Send specimen to lab within 1 hour of collection.
Off-campus collections: Specimen to be stored/transported at room temperature.
