Interpretive Data:

Result Interpretation
Nonreactive Anti-HBc antibodies not detected. It is possible that the individual is not infected with HBV.
Reactive Anti-HBc antibodies were detected in the sample which suggests either on-going or previous HBV infection.

 

The anti-HBc Total assay detects both IgM and IgG anti-HBc responses.  Interpretation information is based on the Abbott product literature. Results by other assay methods cannot be used interchangeably with the Abbott assay values.
