Test Code BTK RESISTANCE BTK Inhibitor Acquired Resistance Panel

Important Note

This panel detects mutations in BTK and PLC-gamma-2 which are associated with acquired ibrutinib resistance in certain Bcell neoplasms. This panel is appropriate for patients with B-cell neoplasms who have relapsed and/or show acquired (secondary) resistance after an initial response to BTK (Bruton tyrosine kinase) inhibitors.

Collection:

Peripheral blood: 5 mL in EDTA tube.
Bone marrow: 2 mL in EDTA tube.
FFPE tissue: Paraffin block is preferred. Alternatively, send 1 H&E slide plus 5-10 unstained slides cut at 5 or more microns. Please use positively-charged slides and 10% NBF fixative. Do not use zinc fixatives.

Storage Instructions:

Specimen to be stored/transported at Refrigerated temp.

Use cold pack for transport. Make sure cold pack is not in direct contact with specimen.
