Specimen: Blood
Container: White PPT - Plasma Preparation Tube (preferred), Serum Separator Tube or Lavender (EDTA) tube. A separate tube is required if multiple tests are ordered and collected in a lavender tube. Microtainers are unacceptable.
Volume: 6 mL minimum
Storage Instructions:
Send specimen to lab immediately after collection. Centrifuge PPT and Serum Separator within 6 hours and refrigerate. If lavender tube is collected, centrifuge and pouroff plasma within 6 hours and ship on a cold pack by overnight delivery. For longer storage >72 hours, freeze plasma and ship frozen on dry ice.

Results reported on day testing is performed.
