Container: Serum Separator (preferred), Light Blue Sodium Citrate, Lithium Heparin Green w/ gel or Red Top Tube
Volume: 4ml – If Light Blue tube is used, tube must be filled to indicated line.
Pediatric Collection:
Two Gold, Green or Red microtainers filled to 600 uL.
Storage Instructions:
Specimen may be held overnight at Room Temperature. Refrigerate for storage beyond 12 hours. Serum or plasma may be stored for up to 7 days at 2-8C. For longer storage, serum must be frozen at -20 or colder.
Turnaround Time (TAT):
Results reported on day of testing.

Interpretive Data:
The Scientific and Standardization Subcommittee on Lupus Anticoagulants and Phospholipid-dependent Antibodies of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis recommends that positive (≥20) Cardiolipin and Beta-2 Glycoprotein 1 IgG and IgM APA assays be repeated in 12 weeks for confirmation.
