Container: Lavender Top Tube. If requested with a Prothrombin Gene Mutation, tube may be shared. A separate tube is required if other tests besides Prothrombin Gene Mutation are ordered to be collected in a Lavender tube. A Blue Top Tube Sodium Citrate anticoagulant whole blood is also acceptable.
Volume: 2.5 mL; Minimum 1 mL

Send specimen to Lab within 2 hours of collection. For longer storage, refrigerate.
