Monday – Friday; 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM.  If same day results are required on specimens received after 12:30pm Monday – Friday, weekends or holidays, the ordering physician/clinician must page the Pathology and Lab Medicine resident on call at 792-2123.

Abnormal hemoglobins S and C are confirmed by acid gel electrophoresis in-house. Other abnormal variants are confirmed by referral testing if requested by the ordering physician.
